ERTI virtual live CLASSES

The Emergency Response Training Institute has developed a live virtual Hazardous Material 8-hour refresher and a 24-hour class. The 24-hour class will be a gateway for the completion of the 40-hour General Site Worker Certificate. All the classes will be conducted virtually, using Zoom. Each class is virtual, live and interactive. Students will be able to ask questions and make comments. Classes can be requested simply by contacting instructor Berger at jberger@ertitraining.com or calling him at 541-740-4241.

At the end of the class the student can take the final test, e-mail it back to instructor Berger and receive their certificate.

If the student would like to continue for the 40-hour certificate they would print from the web site, the 40-hour Task book. The Task Book is a teaching tool that verifies competence through 16-hours of field participation. A supervisor or another person that has already completed the 40-hour course must watch the student complete each task. Once the tasks are completed and all documents are signed, return the book to instructor Berger. He'll verify that all task have been completed. After verification is completed, you'll receive a 40 hour certificate. The Task Book can be completed in either a classroom setting or field response, as long as the student is being evaluated by a supervisor and that person signs the Task Book for the task being evaluated.

The refresher class is a virtual live refresher covering a review of most chapters in the 40-hour book. It will run between 7 and 8 hours in length. This class does not require a book. Signing up for this is the same as the 24-hour class. There will be breaks and lunch periods during the class.

Classes can be requested simply by contacting instructor Berger at jberger@ertitraining.com or calling him at 541-740-4241.
