"This is my third HAZWOPER training course and my first one online, and this course is by far the best experience I’ve had. John brings decades of experience and a lifetime of passion to this course. The lectures are engaging and come from real-world experience. The examples are from incidents that John, himself, experienced.

He breaks down what responders did or didn’t do and should or shouldn’t have done. He also goes beyond the hazards presented by the incident and really brings safety culture to bear. He's worked nearly three decades with no injuries and points out where you most commonly run into problems, from the near misses he’s experienced. Through trial and error he’s overcome these hurdles.

If you want a class that will give you the practical tools to help you and other responders make it home each night, John's ERTI courses are for you. Thanks for a great learning experience, John!"

“I just completed the ERTI 8-hour HAZWOPER training and wanted to send my thanks for another great course. John Berger is not only knowledgeable but is adept at story telling. His personalized stories not only keep me engaged but really help me retain the information he is presenting the lessons learned from his experiences.

I also really appreciate the effort he and his team have put into a multi-camera presentation. The training moves with ease between multiple angles of John, the slideshow and a white board. This keeps the information coming in a seamless way and never feels stale.

Thank you so much ERTI and John Berger for another great class. All my best.”

By far this was the best Haz-Mat class I have attended in my career. John Berger the instructor is an expert in the field. His vast knowledge of the subject matter is impressive. He has 30 years’ experience responding to Haz-Mat spills from 1-gallon chemical spills to 450 million gallons, on the Deep Horizon oil spill. He conducts a class with enthusiasm and professionalism not found in most Haz-Mat classes. He engages with the students through the entire class.

The training studio is exactly that, a studio. It takes two people to produce the classes. John in front of the camera and Todd Taylor behind the scenes making everything work. Todd controls all the camera angles though three cameras. It truly makes you feel like John is teaching in a television studio. For a Zoom class, there is nothing to compare the class to in the country. It was the best.

I would like to express my thanks to John and Todd for a job well done. It was a great class. If you are looking to take a Hazardous Materials class of any type, this is the place to do it. If you have a minute check out the web site and see the studio. Ertitraining.com

Thanks again for a great class.”

“Thank you for the refresher course this spring as more field work comes our way. The class covers a lot of ground in a short timeframe of only 8 hours, however it provides a time to review the Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response, Haz-Mat 40 hour Training, Technician Course manual (provided by ERTI in the 40 hr. course) for competency and safety reasons. It is also a good time to listen to incident stories from others in attendance and particularly from you as instructor. Often these accounts of what happened during an incident are the things that we remember most easily and then help guide us during responses. Thank you for sharing your extensive background in the hazardous materials response profession.”
